This 3.5meter x 7meter pool, housed within a charmking ski chalet, incorporates Twinscape’s world-renown Hydrofloor Disappearing Pool Floor system. When the floor is up and closed, this airy room is highlighted by a beautiful mosaic of Italian ceramic tile - made possible by Twinscape’s remarkable load capacity. Then, at the touch of a button, the Hydrofloor descends with a surreal ease into the refreshing pool. Out happy client and his guests can effortlessly glide down the secure Hydrofloor steps into the water for a splash or socializing, all the while enjoying the majestic views of the snowcapped mountains.
Located in south-western part of the country, Verbier is tucked within the Swiss Alps and recognized as one of the premiere backcountry ski resorts in the world - this is Twinscape’s fourth project in this lovely village, and this particular clients’ third Hydrofloor in his vacation homes situated around the world. This was not the first swimming pool the client had having previously installed one at another of his homes and this house did already have a pool but it needed renovating. The architect suggested they rebuild the whole pool to incorporate a movable floor and make the area into a flexible entertainment space.
