In 2015 we announced that we would be moving our European headquarters from Perwez in Belgium to Colchester in the UK. We had been considering this move for some time and had been looking at many potential locations. Hydrofloors had always been primarily operating from Belgium but we were looking to relocate the European operations to the UK for many reasons. Ron Plompen CEO said “We try to be as competitive as possible and when we looked at what was available to us in the UK in terms of business conditions, support for trading and export, long term costs, resources, a technologically fluent workforce, transportation links with our primary target countries and quality of life for the employees, the UK was the obvious answer.”
In addition to engineering and manufacturing, there will also be more of an emphasis on innovation. It has been recognized that this is one of our key strengths and we have been approached frequently to find solutions to create more flexible living for our clients. With this in mind, we found a new location on an industrial park in Colchester that had good links to London where many of the architects and planners that we work in collaboration with have offices and also in close proximity to the main airports which was crucial given the international scope of our work. The move was completed in December and we have settled into our new premises and are fully operational in the UK now. In the forthcoming months we will be looking to expand our team again in both the office and the engineering departments so please get in touch if you are interested in joining our dynamic company.
