Project & Logistics Manager
Engineering has always been a passion of mine, from an early age I had a keen interest in how things worked and was encouraged by father who is an inventor and Director of R&D , so when I left college, I knew that a career in engineering was a goal I had to achieve.
14 years on, I am pleased I have achieved my goal, learning various roles along the way. 2009 was my first big break, I was given a role as a trainer draftsman, helping the design team with complex CAD drawings, detailing and a small part of design. 12 months later, I was a fully-fledged member of the team involved with all design aspects but had a keen interest in electrical design and software development.
An opportunity presented itself to design the control systems for our application, this included the manufacture of the control panel, wiring diagrams and software development. I went on to deliver 17 global projects for that company with constant improvements being made along the way.
It was clear to me that my skill set was mainly in electrical design and application engineering which is where I have spent the last 11 years of my career working on all manner of projects including industrial robotics, energy production, food processing and factory automation.
The exciting role at Twinscape presented itself to me a few months ago and I knew I wanted to be a part of this innovative company and I was lucky enough to be brought on as Project & Logistics Manager.
Upon joining the team, I was quickly impressed by the quality of the products produced and the constant improvements being made to ensure we remain one of the market leaders within our unique industry.
My responsibilities within Twinscape are activity & resource planning, organising the project teams, time management, cost estimating and budget development, analysing project risk, supplier coordination, monitoring project progress and ensuring customer satisfaction.
I am also responsible for our control system software development, control panel design and human machine interfaces. With engineering being a passion of mine it should be obvious that my hobbies would include something around technology. For many years now I have been an active member of a model RC flying club, flying models capable of in excess of 200mph along with helicopters and racing drones.
